What is dropstitch?

Dropstich (aka three dimensional fabric, aka double wall fabric aka distance fabric) is a textile product made of two layers of woven fabric which are connected with threads. When the two layers are coated or laminated with a air tight plastic, the textile can be used to make a flat structure.
